SureFire HL1-C-TN Helmet Light; 3 white, 2 red, 1 blinking infrared LED

Cheap SureFire HL1-C-TN Helmet Light; 3 white, 2 red, 1 blinking infrared LED Review

This light is typical Surefire, work s very well and the best money can buy. I have the white/blue LED version and it works very well for hands-free work. The blue doesn't mess with night vision too bad, and the white is bright enough to work by without being too bright. The three brightness settings are easy to adjust as well. Positive lockout for when you don't want it to turn on is a huge plus. My only real complaint is that is only comes in tan. A black version of this would be more to my liking, also a foliage green as well. (I also am not sure how water resistant this really is, but it has survived plenty of rain and sand.) For those of use who like to have mission specific gear, that would be nice. The molle strap clip is a great option to get with this for when you are not wearing a helmet. The molle clip stays very tight onto the straps and holds the light securely. The only problem I seem to have is with REMF's who always want to swipe the good gear that me and my guy's have. This is highly recommended. Do not even try to be cheap with the knockoff versions on some auction sites.

SureFire HL1-C-TN Helmet Light; 3 white, 2 red, 1 blinking infrared LED Overview

This compact, multiple-output Helmet Light in tan features three white LEDs, two red LEDs, and one blinking infrared LED that serves as a personal Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) beacon. The white primary LEDs are perfect for general-purpose, close-work illumination; the red secondary LEDs serve the same purpose in a low-signature, night-vision-friendly color. The Helmet Light attaches via a special mount that clamps semi-permanently to the rim of any Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) by means of two socket-head machine screws. Once the mount is attached, the light can be easily slid onto the mount, where it locks in place; depressing a small lever slides it right off, so the Helmet Light can be quickly removed for servicing or transport onto its optional Z71 carry clip, which attaches to any MOLLE or ALICE vest.Output/Runtime: White High: 19.2 lumens/6 hrsRed High: 2.5 lumens/20 hrsWhite Med: 5.0 lumens/28 hrsRed Med: 0.8 lumens/48 hrsWhite Low: 1.4 lumens/48hrsRed Low: 0.3 lumens/96 hrsTertiary IFF beacon: 1.72 mW/120 hrs
