Cheap Dorcy 41-4275 3AAA 3-Watt Aluminum Flashlight Review
We took along a boatload of flashlights when we went camping, and the Dorcy won out over all others, including the bulky 'police' ones. Not as focused as the 3-cell MagLite, but it seems to put out as much light, only it's a soft-focused (cold-white) beam that's perfect for exploring at 2:00am.
I don't know about the other review that says it got 'dim' but my original (2+ year old) duracell batteries still pack a wallop.
Plus, the small size says you're more likely to pack it and have it with you. The flashlights are decent, but if you need to step up to something better, here it is.
